I installed Office Professional a couple weeks ago and it has had trouble "connecting to the server" since the beginning. I was not able to register or activate it because every time I try to I get an error "Sorry we are having some temporary server issues.

Now all of my office programs open in protected mode and I can barely do anything in the programs. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing and that didn't help. What should I do? Guys, i am facing the same cant use fade tool pro x. Redoing 6 microsoft outlook 2013 will not connect to server free addresses in outlook is not good enough option for me. When I needed to write a long email, I left the phone version blank and hoped the recipient wasn't bothered by my apparent incompetence. What a complete waste of time and effort. I have the same problem, simply using GMail accounts in Outlook It will not allow me to send from Outlook. In reply to summ's post on November 2, I have been running into the same issue. Running windows 8 and office None of the mail servers involved have received any updates or changes in recent times.

The first time I received this issue I figured out it was happening on the Google and other imap accounts, but the exchange account was working correctly. I had office installed previously, but had recently installed office as part of Office To resolve the issue I uninstalled both the previous and the Office installations and re-installed from Office only.

SHAME on you. This problem has been dogging users for over six months now. Every now and again a MS engineer come up on line and gives instructions which may be okay for an IT guy but are just gobble de gook for normal users.
